Since I never got around the reviewing the great "I", I felt it was only necessary that I review this to avenge my ultimate female bias.
I didn't really expect to like this as it just seemed like another wall-to-wall SM ballad, however I was surprised to find out this song was pretty sweet. Removing bias away from it (as I always do when liking music) it's not really something I thought Taeyeon would do. It's a mid-tempo jazzy ballad with a chorus that brings things up (greatly might I add.) The song doesn't delve to deep into boring ballad territory which I appreciate a lot but it doesn't try to make things dance-able beyond a simple step-move or two, which I also appreciate. This is simply Taeyeon singing to a simply jazz tune and it's quite heavenly. I can see myself listening to this a lot this season.
The music video has really only two sets. A color set which takes place in a vintage bedroom that look like it came from the better parts of tumblr, to a black and white empty room set which looks like something from a dark Christmas special. But the music video is far from being boring as it has many pretty shots of the sets and Taeyeon, and matches the calm, laid-back style of the song.
Taeyeon looks really pretty here. I feel like I'm the only one that really likes this hair on her. I love how she's becoming more edgy step by step since it always seemed that SM wanted her to be the happy-smiling SNSD leader 24/7.
Overall I give this a 5/5. Yes a 5/5. I really loved this.
Also, don't think we didn't see you sneak in those Harry Potter references Taeyeon, we know you're an HP nerd.
That's a hard copy of "Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix" for those who don't know.
