Wonder Girls is back with an upgraded[?] line-up and sound and it's oh so welcome.
Jesus Christ this is fantastic. Not only does the song borrow from the best of 80's pop but the music video also follows suit with the concept of the song. The song has glittering synths, whispery vocals, pounding drums, and cute spastic rapping. Can't really get much more 80's pop than that, and it's all glorious sounding. My only wish is that the chorus would go on a bit of a higher note but given the other great elements that make up the song, I'm willing to overlook that.
The music video like I said, is also borrowing from the best of 80's pop (when it came to more adult oriented pop that is.) The sultry lighting, glamorous makeup, ice[?], cute and awkward fashion. There's even a filter over the MV so it looks like it's from an older time, along with the flat camera angles that seem to either film everything in a room or just focus on one thing at a time.
Overall, I'm glad that WG is back, it's been a long time but they came back with a bang and that's all that matters in the end.
I give this release a 5/5. Great comeback.
